Poland Dispatches Fighter Jets Following Large-Scale Russian Assault on Ukraine

In response to a significant strike initiated by Russia against Ukraine, Poland deployed its military aircraft. The armed forces activated their air defense and radar detection systems. This information was shared by the press service of the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.
«Due to the Federation’s attacks targeting sites within Ukraine, military jets are currently operating within Polish airspace. Following standard protocols, the operational commander of the Polish military has mobilized the necessary forces and assets. Fighters have been dispatched, and ground-based air defense along with radar detection systems have reached a state of readiness,» the statement indicated around 7 AM.
The announcement further clarified that these measures are precautionary, aimed at maintaining safety and securing the airspace, particularly in regions close to sensitive zones.
«The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces is actively monitoring the situation, and all subordinate forces and resources are prepared for immediate action,» they stressed.
Overview of the Major Russian Assault on Ukraine on November 29
On November 29, Russia executed a substantial shelling campaign directed at Kyiv. Reports indicate that this assault resulted in two fatalities and left 29 individuals injured.
Furthermore, the western sectors of the capital experienced power outages due to the bombardment, with energy crews dispatched to restore electricity.
The aggressor also targeted the Kyiv region, leading to significant damage across various localities and reports of casualties. The city of Fastiv faced temporary power loss as a consequence of the attacks.
«At this time, critical infrastructure has transitioned to backup power systems. Services for water supply, sewage, gas, and communications are functioning normally. Points designated for resilience are prepared to operate,» stated Mykola Kalashnik, news the head of the Kyiv Regional Administration.
